One sunny weekend a few weekends back I joined Carol, Jon & gang for their wedding at Goldsborough Hall in North Yorkshire. It was such a lovely, downtempo affair on a glorious day. Being their second marriages, they didn’t want to over egg the pudding and go over the top. I personally think they hit…

Not too long ago was the wonderful wedding of Angie & Chris. The weekend before and weekend after were glorious, but their date sadly fell on a rainy one in between. But hey – as I always say, in England most of a wedding is spent indoors, and if a window arises as showers lighten,…

[...] I actually photographed Graham’s sister, Angie & Chris’ wedding back in 2009. You can check out their post here. [...]
[...] Chris again for a catch up. It was a good two years ago now, but check out their wedding blog here. On the left is Angie & brother Graham being snapped by Chris, and on the right we have a [...]
The sun certainly was smiling on Damien & Caroline on their wedding day back on the last weekend in May – so much so that I inadvertently topped up my sunburn. Clare & I had a lovely day photographing the goings on, at respective parental digs round Roundhay, at the Church on Harrogate Road &…
I’m a traveller. Always have been. There’s nothing I love more than taking in and soaking up interesting cultures, cuisines and places. Throughout my childhood my parents thought it wise to annually pack 3 naughty brothers into a saloon Volvo, and tow a caravan and leaky awning to the distant vineyards of Europe. It was…
A great read Barnaby, and a fantastic insight to your background that is now driving your individual style.
Whole heartily agree that we should all travel more, the 2 biggest trips I have taken myself have all brought light and insight into my own life. A school trip to Russia when I was 14, whilst the iron curtain was still down, changed my perspective on our way of life and later a random amble around Europe brought me my life partner and now fiancé
Keep up the hard work dude, blog rules!
Cheers
Cris.

Kate & Andy’s wedding a few weeks back was quite possibly one of my favourite weddings yet. It was held in the amazing Peckforton Castle in Cheshire, Britain’s only intact medieval castle. Not only was the venue picturesque (including mincing peacocks), the weather glorious, and my photographic company sterling (Phil Barber came along for the…
Last weekend I shot Angie & Chris’s wedding at Hey Green, a fabulous venue deep in the rolling Yorkshire countryside. The week previous I’d been posting about how summer’d come and showed all those suns on a BBC weather screendump. Well, mother nature’s mood had changed somewhat when I did the ol’ morning forcast… “Cool…
[...] As I mentioned in a previous blog, Angie & Chris chose a fantastic song for their first dance, ‘One Day Like This’ by Elbow – check the video of them doing it live on the blog here. [...]
Well it’s shooting season again! Weddings are rolling up & through thick and fast now. I don’t think I’ve a free weekend till mid August. B man’s starting to envy these kids throwing mad weddings & bouncing off to Mauritius to chill in stilted huts! But summer’s filled with cool clients and cool places to…
I take very little heed of weather forecasts, especially the 5 day forcast. It’s an educated guess and I’ve rarely seen it be right. But I do like to check the ‘Next 24 Hours’ bit before setting out, to see the shape of the day. Last Thursday’s wedding at the amazing Peckforton Castle was as…
So – Carly & Darren’s big day arrived, and the weather was gorgeous! I managed to get sunburnt, in Yorkshire in May! Check the sunshine… This is Oulton Hall, a luxury Hotel and Spa in South Leeds. This was the first time I’d done a wedding here and it’s a stunning building. It’s recently had…
[...] Hall for their pre-wed (to see more of the hall at a past wedding I shot at Oulton Hall click here). We got a fantastic set of images and inspite of the weather they learnt all they needed to set [...]
I saw this while I was out with my camera and it caught my eye. Something inside of me always wants to know what’s left and why we’re being told to go right. No doubt it’s for our own good (turning into oncoming traffic isn’t big or clever), but it philosophically never hurts to check….

Phil - Mr Aldrick – What an excellent group of images. You have managed to capture the fun and relaxed feel of the day. Love the details shots as well. A shoe shot to be proud of!
