Alice & Andy // Pre-Wedding Shoot • Photography by Barnaby Aldrick

A couple of weekends back I went out to snap the pre-wed of a couple who’s wedding I’m very much looking forward to this summer. They’re throwing the majority of their wedding in a marquee in the grounds of at Alice’s parents place out near Wetherby. Check out the manor house… …and the lady &…

Tilt shift in The Sandpit // Inspiring photography & video • Barnaby Aldrick Blog

Today the Canon Professional Services (CPS) visited The Flash Centre in Leeds and offered to deep clean DSLR sensors and generally meet, greet and geek with members.  I’ve been a member for some time and dropped by to get my 5DmkII & 5D chemically cleaned.  Anyhoos – while my babies were being manhandled, I had…

Emma in London - Oh my word that video had me smiling from start to finish. There’s something so magical about it! Gah I miss living in NYC. Thank you for sharing.
Looking forward to seeing what magic you can bring to the world of tilt-shift / selective blur Mr Barnaby.

Carrie Bugg Photography - Thanks so much for sharing this Barnaby – it’s amazing!

I’m off tomorrow to get my sensors cleaned in Southampton London Camera Exchange. Hope they make a quick job of them as I don’t want to end up buying a tilt-shift lens – can’t afford it!

Svetlana Yanova - Oh my god, this is so cool!!! I just showed the video to a couple of my co-workers who are going to New York in August, they were thrilled! :) :) I want that lens so bad, but I can’t afford it just yet. Post some of your photos that you took with it! :)

Walks that end at a good pub // Farnely Tyas, Yorkshire • by Barnaby Aldrick

After a family friend’s 60th last Saturday Clare & I decided to act particularly middle-aged and use the ‘50 Walks in West Yorkshire‘ book my mum got us for Xmas.  We decided it doesn’t take much to get out & enjoy the lovely Yorkshire countryside (excluding serveral snooze presses and LOTS of caffeine), so we…

Christopher Campbell - Love the 70′s effect going on. I like the fact that not all your photos are prefect and you choose to show the odd ones out of focus, it shows you’re still human who can make errors, and not a robot built to take brilliant pictures :)

Barnaby Aldrick - Cheers man! I’m enjoying my new 70′s colouring fun too. I’ve seen lots of vingagey Photoshop actions before, but never lightroom presets that look cool, and I rather like these. And yeah, I’m certainly no photo cyborg! To err is human, as they say. Though to shout about it, perhaps foolish…

Mum - What a brilliant day….the harbinger of many more I’m sure…well done. Lovely images … Moi x

Helen & Richard // OTD Wedding Slideshow – by Barnaby Aldrick

You’ve gotta love UK weather eh? Last Saturday was the wedding of Helen & Richard & mother nature didn’t even give us the nine-till-noon grey cloud window predicted by the BBC… …but the spring showers didn’t dampen spirits and it was a supremely chilled out wedding at Fairfield Manor in York. As is generally the…

Tasty food, tasty processing // Food Photography by Barnaby Aldrick

Another food shoot I did recently was with Dine Catering Services. They asked me down in association with the Leeds Guide to pap a bit of their food. What appears here to be a little cherry tom is actually a baby toffee apple. Cheeky. A swanky hazlenut crusted yorkshire goats cheese with matchstick apple &…

Last weekend I joined these nutters for a ‘stroll’ at Bolton Abbey. They’re called Rachel & Iain and are absolutely great.  They booked me a yonk back, and are really excited about getting married soon. White Rose Caterers // Food Photography by Barnaby Aldrick

It’s been a busy week at BAWP HQ, generally getting on top of admin, tweaking my official Barnaby Aldrick Wedding Photography site & brainstorming the upcoming 3B Media site with Phil & Rob.  But one shoot of interest this week was a food shoot for White Rose Caterers, out in Silsden, in deepest Yorkshire… It…

AC - good job! :) Looks tasty, though I really don’t like flying saucers. did you do it with daylight? The pasta dish looks a bit 255 in all channels, but overall very nice.

Barnaby Aldrick - Looks a bit 255! Like it. Good techy term! You mean blown highlights? I think I may have pushed that pic a bit. And by flying saucers, you mean circular highlights? I generally try to avoid em, but I think I quite liked them in one or two. Cheers for your thoughts though AC!

Stuart Cooper - WOW – great shots Barnaby, I say that because they have made feel very hungry!
