While we were in Stockholm we stopped into the independent Gallerie Kontrast to see the Sarah Moon exhibition The more I look at photography as art, the more I realise it seems all you have to do is shoot out of focus & chat it up afterwards. Call me cynical, perhaps… But someone did once…

I was approached by a drummer I know to do some promo photographs for his up-coming Wales-based band Catfish and The Bottlemen. So I rounded up fellow photo pals Tom Arber & Cris Matthews… and invited the band up to Leeds to spend an afternoon getting creative. (On the right is Tim Hall, their chauffeur!)…
Nice shots… Thanks for posting the worst pictures of my face the internet has ever seen :O)
Awesome! Catfish are undoubtedly the best band my ears have ever had the pleasure of listening to.
For my girlfriend Clare’s 30th birthday, I decided to treat her to a winter break in Stockholm. So as January is usually a quiet patch for me, off we flew for a 5-star hotel break Don’t tell anyone, but I emailed the hotel ahead, pretending it was our 10-year anniversary and if they could arrange…
Love these photos! I’ve always wanted to go to Sweden even more so now I’ve seen your photos looking forward to your next post! Kirsten x
Wow! Check this awesomeness… Fantastic, inspiring film-making eh? It’s a teaser for a Red Bull documentary following epic snowboarding shenegans around the world. But the nuts (read: progressive) blend of film making & technology is what excites me, really capturing the adventure/travel drama of adrenaline-fuelled mentalists in action. The Art of FLIGHT releases September 2011….
Wow, that IS amazing, almost makes me forget that red bull tastes like piss. Brain Farm are doing some really interesting stuff, did you see this? http://tinyurl.com/259mp5x
The other day I popped round to former wedding client’s Rachel & Iain’s house, to meet the latest addition to their family… Little Eddie! Iain & Rachel are a marvellous couple, who brought the fun to their amazing Pre-wedding walk in the Dales (post here) & on the day of their splendid wedding at Woodlands hotel in…
The photos are amazing (which we knew they would be, hence asking you back), but with the added comments brought a tear to my eye! You’ve captured our new family perfectly and i’m sure Eddie will appreciate them in time – apart from the action wee shot not featured here, but will be saved for the 18th birthday cake. As Iain says you are our official photgrapher – excellent work!!
Congratulations guys! Here’s hoping he grows up to be a best-selling musician, whilst striking up close friendships with the worlds top surfers…

The other day I was asked along to the infamous Brudenell Social Club in the Hyde Park (read: Student Ghetto) area of Leeds for a spot of music photography On this night’s bill was rising New York star Joan as The Policewoman & her amazing support act, James Vincent McMorrow. James was on first, and…
Great shots in tricky circs, Joan was great on 6Music recently, despite being off her box on something.
Joan is off her box merely on life itself ! She doesn’t even drink anymore.
Someone said to me the other day that in spite of a massive resurgence towards creative photography – with zillions of photo apps on phones never less than an arms length away, the cheapness of digital compacts and a move back to the SLR for ultimate quality – this decade will probably go down in…

John - I actually quite like what I can see of this exhibition. particularly keen on the girl running into overexposed horizon…
