Priory Cottages at Syningthwaite // Wedding Fair – Sunday 30th Oct 2011 [by Barnaby Aldrick Wedding Photography]

Today I’m at the wedding fair at The Priory in Syningthwaite (try saying ‘Syningthwaite’ fast twice!) I shot these puppies on my iPhone when I arrived this morning (with the cunning Hipstematic iPhone app) The Priory is basically a wicked new wedding/events venue deep the fields of North Yorkshire surrounded by ace holiday cottages and an ancient Priory building.  It…

Last weekend I joined these fine folk, Lucy & Stewart, for their pre-wedding meeting & practice photoshoot! I was particularly excited about this one as it was at Swinton Park, near Masham in the Yorkshire Dales. I’ve never photographed here before and it’s a grand old place indeed! The crisp winter afternoon and last few…

Helen & Joby’s Wedding Highlights // Anthony’s Piazza, Leeds [by Barnaby Aldrick Wedding Photography]

Yesterday I joined Helen & Joby to photograph their wedding at St Chad’s Church, in Headingley and at Anthony’s Piazza in The Corn Exchange! It was a cracking day all round, bursting with cool details and fun ideas (as well as possibly the best bouquet I’ve seen this year!). James Vincent McMorrow & Lindi Ortega // Live at the Leeds City Varieties [by Barnaby Aldrick Photography]

On a drizzly night last I went to the recently refurbed City Varieties Music Hall, in the centre of Leeds, to catch James Vincent McMorrow play. I remember going to the City Varieties as a kid, with nana, to catch the Xmas pantos. It was a bit tatty back then, and in recent years closed…

‘Drive’ // The love child of Film Noir & a Western? [Movie thoughts by Barnaby Aldrick]

With the craziness of a busy summer’s wedding photography I’ve not written enough personal blogs around the OTD slideshows and pre-weds, and now the season’s settling back into bed a bit, I’m gonna get posting more varied posts again, including sharing my thoughts on films I’ve recently enjoyed… [nb: if you hit ‘subscribe’ above you’ll…

Sally & Andrew’s Wedding Highlights // ICA, Central London [by Barnaby Aldrick Wedding Photography]

Yesterday we joined Sally & Andrew to photograph their toasty wedding in Central London! It was ace to be back down in the big smoke again; bustling with it’s black cabs, red buses & grand white buildings Before I left Leeds, I read 32.5 degrees on the dash!  Saturday turned out to be that, plus the…

Linda and Philip Taylor - WOW WHAT AMAZING PHOTOS!
Ok so as Andrew’s mum and dad we could be biased, but Barnaby clearly has the artistic eye and is a great talent.
We loved the Trafalgar Square shots both on the day and the pre wedding shots. what a pity you couldn’t arrange for the guy to come by and comment on Andrew’s bald spot, for the pics taken after that of them laughing were brilliant!
Thanks Barnaby.

Sally Taylor - Thank you Barnaby, for the stunning photos and for all of your help and encouragement on the day. It was a real pleasure to have you and Claire on board (like the Navimag pun?!) We had the time of our lives and you captured it perfectly. Thank you. Sal xxx
