I’m on the train home rinsing the free wi-fi and thought I’d throw up a few faves from yesterday’s central London wedding of Louisa & Ben (hot off the sensor!).

Bridal preps were at the swanky Waldorf Hotel in Holborn, and the girls were having their hair done at Ginger Group round the corner.  After Louisa had her veil put in, I liked this catch of her walking back to the hotel with her sister Mel & their brollies. I like the London vibe with a lost tourist & the red phonebox.

I love this shot of Louisa putting her earings in. Caught a real moment. Her makeup artist French Fred from Armani, was outstanding, and does makeup for the stars. He recently slapped-up Megan Fox & Kate Beckinsale & was telling us fun celeb tales.  Apparently Bobby Davro requires a lot of work.

The wedding party flagged a cab outside the Waldorf to take them to Church.

Their Church, St Etheldreda’s Catholic Church, is the oldest church in London, nested out of sight in the glittering Hatton Garden sidestreets.  Building started way back in the 11th Century, & Henry VIII even graced the place for a banquet in the crypt underneath (where they Louisa & Ben hosted their reception). It’s as though London grew around it.

Everybody loves the pageboys & flowergirls. Espcially when they look this cool, following the black tie theme.

And a final shot of our happy couple, getting ready to head off for a well earned honeymoon!

Louisa is the sister of my good pal Mel (today on bridesmaid duties), who owns Verve Bar & Reform Bar in Leeds. After the first dance we put out a Lightroom slideshow of the days highlights.  It made Mel cry & she had to dash off to the ladies to wash off all Fred’s hard work! I’m considering a BAWP tagline: ‘Barnaby Aldrick Wedding Photography: making bridesmaids cry since 2005’.

The images were processed on my laptop & may appear a bit dark.  A full photoblog will follow soon of the finished works!
