Apollo Junction // Leeds Band Shoot [by Barnaby Aldrick Photography]

Man! It’s clearly shooting season when pretty much every blog I post is either a wedding highlights or a pre-wedding shoot! But even when times are busy, I do still try to make time and take the opportunity to get out and shoot things for myself. A recent example of this was a shoot I did a…

Hope & Social // Big Red Button: Winter Warmer – Part 1 [Music photography by Barnaby Aldrick]

Last week I joined the fabulous Hope & Social band to document yet another of their musical events at their recording studio (AKA: the Crypt) in the less than beautifully-named ‘Liversage’ in Yorkshire.I know the band well and joined them in the afternoon, while they practiced for their evening gig ‘The Big Red Button: Winter Warmer‘…

DrFizzy - ‘hope and social’ live up to their name perfectly – they are incredibly inclusive and social with their music and forever optimistic and hopeful that the risks they take organising fan events like this will work out! Their Event track record is good and those fans that have signed up to singing in the crypt for ‘Architect of Church, the bistro evening ‘Come Dine With Us’, the hope and social funbus day out, the Christmas snowball, garden party, shit Vegas, Winter Warmer keep coming back for more! Lovely Crypt observations such as the mysteries of Ed’s mind and especially love the band group shots.

CarolineL - Fab pics! Looking forward to dancing like a loon in Fibbers, York, in March and at Galtres Festival in August! Woop woop! :)

CarolineL - And once I’ve finished dancing like a loon in Fibbers I’ll be going next door to see H&S at The Duchess!! :D

Jane Barlow - I love this series of pictures. You can hear the music through them.

Jane Barlow - Barnaby, the second to last one, of the bass player is STUNNING. I am sure that could be used commercially for something. I’d hang a large version of it in my lounge:-)

Pilla ‘Take The Boat In Style’ // Music video filmed on iPhone 4S! [by Barnaby Aldrick]

It’s kinda quiet time in the wedding world at the moment, so for a bit of a laugh yesterday, I hooked up with good buddy & excellent musician Dave Pilla, and we filmed a music video on my iPhone 4S. Check it out: Pretty crazy what you can do with a phone eh?! For the geeks out…
