Paris // Tilt-Shift Street Scenes [by Barnaby Aldrick Photography]

A while back my mum sang with her choir at Disneyland Paris to help Walt’s ‘Cast Members’ celebrate EuroDisney’s 20th Anniversary.  She said the evening light show and fireworks were something to behold, and a week later we spotted a GroupOn BOGOF online, so as Clare had never been before, snapped up a pair of tickets,…

Post-Season Photographer’s Birmingham Get Together // Using the Sony NEX7 with Canon glass [by Barnaby Aldrick]

Before and after wedding season each year, a fun little network of photographers I’m in hook up for a social somewhere to unwind, share and inspire one another.  We call ourselves the r-Tribe; the r coming from Stewart ‘R’andall, who originally set it up to keep in touch with photographers he once trained with. Jennifer - Was super duper fun – love you guys :-)

Mark Lenik - Great blog barns! Had an amazing time for the 5 drunken hours that I attended…..I apologise for my behaviour and excessive drinking and extremely camp dancing. Lets do it in Leeds sometime soon!

Barnaby Aldrick - For sure Lenik, you little monkey. You’re a legend in your own time, you really are.

James Pearson - Great blog post Barns, great to see what I was missing out on! :-( Looks like you had a great time! You got some very scratched up negs there, I’d complain to your lab!! ;-)

Really great photos! Manually focusing on the NEX7 looked really great when I had a quick look at Stewart’s.

Thanks for the link. Hope to see you soon. :-)

In-Camera Multiple Exposure on a Canon 5DmkIII // inspired by Cristoffer Relander [by Barnaby Aldrick Photography]

Recently I discovered these intriguing images shot by photographer Christoffer Relander He’s been creating these beautiful multiple exposure images, in-camera on his Nikon D700.  Looking into how he did it, I discovered that basically it’s using what appears to be a gimmicky feature that blends two or more images in camera. The effect has been possible…

Jane Smelt - Fabulous photos Barnaby. They should be syndicated!

James Pearson - Seriously wonderful blog post Barns! I love every picture, it’s great to see your view of the day compared to what we saw on TV – it looks like an amazing spectacle and experience; even the queuing looks like fun!?

Those water drops are very cool, nice one for capturing them; looks tricky!

The shot of the Decathlon 100m heats finishing line is amazing!! Such a brilliant angle, a better angle than what the press photographers get IMHO!

I really enjoyed the Olympics (way more than I was expecting) and I loved your blog post. You’re so lucky to have been there, glad you enjoyed it!

Barnaby Aldrick - Cheers James! I was like you, not expecting to enjoy it as much as I did. A fantastic and memorable event all round!

Maria Blanco - Lovely photos Barnaby, nothing short of what we have come to expect of you! Love your blogs. You say it all in a few witty words and a picture that speaks a thousand :) X

Shooting a few wedding portraits at Oakwell Hall last Saturday reminded me that a few weeks back I was there on social duties with our rescue dog Kyra for the Yorkshire Rose Dog Rescue charity ‘Doggie Fun Day’! It’s one of their annual fundraisers where they let anyone bring their dog along for some doggie…
