Travel Prints // Selecting holiday photographs for the bedroom [by Barnaby Aldrick Photography]

After blogging two wonderful short breaks to Paris (blog here) and Bergamo (blog here) earlier this year, two things occurred to me i) images with text over them look ace and ii) like a builder who never finishes his kitchen, I’m a photographer who’s had empty frames in the bedroom waiting to be filled since…

Donna & Dan’s Thai Wedding // Part 4: The Angthong Marine Park Trip! [by Barnaby Aldrick Destination Wedding Photography

Back in January I was lucky enough to photograph the beautiful wedding of Donna & Dan out on Koh Pha Ngan in Thailand.  It might be one of the coolest weddings I’ve ever photographed (check out the wedding highlights here) and sometimes I can’t believe how lucky I am to get to do this for a…

Stomping The Lakes // The Kentmere Horseshoe – a one lens challenge [by Barnaby Aldrick]

Last weekend on one of our wedding-free weekends, Clare & I joined a few buddies for our bi-annual stomp in The Lake District. Really they’re an opportunity to eat pies and visit microbreweries, but are easier justified when book-ending a big ol’ walk.  Steve, our pal and organiser, is trying to ‘bag’ to top 100…

A long weekend in Bergamo // Italian Travel Photography [by Barnaby Aldrick Photography]

What feels like an age ago now, back in early March, Clare & I headed to Bergamo in Northern Italy for a long weekend break. For such a long time now, my mum’s harped on about us going to this picturesque medieval, walled Italian town, perched on the lombardi plains above its newer (less interesting) counterpart.  We…

Belgian Bert - Our marriage blogs are worthy of a “fifty shades” trilogy, old bean. “Your pictures make me tremble. An occasional shifting in the chair and a low sounding groan is heard from behind my laptop.”

Thanks for the awesome memento’s. You are brill.

kissy kissy,

B

Maria Blanco - You really cannot complain Mr Aldrick! :P But neither can we… We have been super lucky to have you capture all this fun and merriment!! :) Must say, that Sunday was one of the happiest days of my life. X

Panoramic Australia // Sweep Panorama’s on the Sony HX9v [by Barnaby Aldrick Photography]

For a recent adventure to Australia I wanted a new compact camera. After some judicious research & advice from Twitter & Facebook, I opted for the Sony HX9v.  I bought it primarily for it’s crispy HD 50-frames-per-second video, and shot a whole bunch of footage that I chopped into a video of the trip.  If you’ve not seen…

Australia 2012 // Holiday movie shot on the Sony HX9v [by Barnaby Aldrick Photography]

Greetings! Well, I’ve been back from our three week January break in Australia for a good few days now and apart from getting some quality time in with the pooch, I’ve basically been chopping together a wee holiday video to remind us of our trip; taking in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane & Fraser Island.  Check it…

James Pearson - I smiled and laughed throughout the whole film. You shoot amazing moving pictures and your editing is wonderful! Way too many highlights, but I particularly liked the vineyard sign left and right (thumbs up) and your impression of Clare snoozing and chewing gum… and a million other clips. Looks like an amazing holiday.

HayleyRuth - Cambridge Wedding Photographer - Barns, this is awesome I so need to get you to show me how to shoot video and more importantly edit it!! What a fantastic holiday and amazing memories you have from it, Bonza mate!! ;) x

Barnaby Aldrick - Cheers Hayley – very nice of you to comment. I’m more than happy to advise on all things video – Perhaps at the next Network get-together. xx
