I’m still definitely in the thick of pre-wedding season, chasing around the UK meeting couples in the run up to their big day

Yesterday, I headed over to the Old Swan Hotel in Harrogate, one of Harrogate’s grand old Victorian venues.

And here are my victims; Helen & Matt!

I’ve photographed at the Old Swan a good few times before (most recently a cool Vicki & Simon’s vintage winter wedding) and it’s a great spot to shoot at, surrounded by fab landscaped grounds, with olde Harrogate on it’s doorstep & 2 minutes walk from the lush lush Valley Gardens.

Which is where we decided to kick off the practice shoot!

There were load of cool spots to practice getting snuggly in front of me.

Harrogate’s full of ace Victoriana! Strolling round the gardens we found this Ice Cream shop!

We also discovered a big ol’ boating pond with a mirror-like reflection, and as soon as I’d lined up an ace shot a random pooch dived in & messed with my reflectivity!

Apparently Harrogate’s in the middle of the ‘Rhubarb triangle’, but check the size of this freaky big Rhubarb!

Honey I shrunk the kids, much?!

That rhubarb’s clearly been drinking some of that funky Harrogate spa water.

No wonder the Victorian’s started pumping it up for it’s medicinal qualities.

On the way back we wandered down a cool street behind the ol’ Victorian pumphouse

By now, these two had got their cuddling skills bang on!

Naturals!

Afterwards, we had a cheeky coffee & talked over their plans and it sounds like it’s gonna be a great day all round!  I’m really looking forward to joining them in a few weeks.

By the time we were done, evening had got it’s dusk on, reminding me that the evenings are starting to shorten again…

Party on; B
