A while back I headed to Grenoside, in the North of Sheffield, to catch up with Vicky and Dom, who are getting married this weekend in Devon!
We met in Grenoside, because Dom’s family hail from there, but I’m connected to Grenoside and the Birkby family because not only did I shoot another Birkby wedding (Beckie & Joe), but I’m life long buddies with Dom’s cousin/Joe’s sister Jules Birkby. It’s genuinely lovely being involved in the Birkby family life events!
And it was fun meeting up at Laurel Cottage on Woodside Lane; as years ago I wrote this address many times on letters to my pen pal Jules.

Anyhoo – these ‘pre-wed’s are a great opportunity to catch up and hang out with upcoming couples, to find out what makes them tick and smile, and to show them how it feels to be papped. So after a Mrs Birkby cuppa, and a good catch with Vicky and Dom, we took to the still slightly snowy neighbourhood for a round of practice pics!
At the end of the road we hit the woods…
