On Thursday I joined Caroline & Marc to photograph their wedding at The Priory Cottages in Synningthwaite, near Wetherby!
It was a magic sunny day at The Priory and was full of lovely fun details!
I hope you enjoy our highlights below…
I do love shooting at The Priory. Â It’s actually a working farm, so there’s something new to see every time I visit.
The owners decided a good few years back to renovate an old barn & build beautiful cottages around it and the old Syningthwaite Priory opposite.
I joined Caroline & the girls for their preparations in the cottages…
Marc done good on the present front! Â Caroline really wanted this bracelet to go with her beautiful dress, but couldn’t get hold of it!
(What she didn’t want was me to blog the guilty pleasure she’d been drinking, Blue WKD!)
😉
Love that she’d bought matching Mr Choo heels AND flats for dancing!
The Caroline Castigliano dress ain’t too shabby either!
😉
There was a yellow throughout, because it was Paul’s sadly deceased mum’s favourite colour.
I like that they’d tied a little photo of her to the bouquets so in some way she could be there at the wedding.
Meanwhile, in a cottage opposite, supergroom Paul and his brotherly best men had their preparations papped by my pal & gun for hire, John Hope.
Marc wasn’t the only one with a special gift up his sleeve.
Caroline bought him a gift to literally put up his sleeve…
Lookin sharp
There were lots of lovely home-done details throughout – hand-painted signs on the way down the drive, pallets with the day schedule, bunting & orders of service.
The ceremony was done upstairs in the Priory Barn
While Caroline was being gowned up, her team of flowergirls burst in to join the party!
Aww.
It’s my kinda bride who does a Jäger shot before going to her wedding!
Loved this reaction of Caroline joining Marc at the end of the aisle.
Love this shot by John
Confetti Bomb!
It’s always worth quickly whistling through the family & wedding party shots, to maximise party time with guests
I always like to grab a few quick details of the flora & outfits!
Then I took these guys for a quick round of portraits around the old Priory
The yellow, hand-done theme ran into the beautifully laid out marquee
Probably the best looking sweet table I’ve seen right here!
It was a beautiful evening to relax and hang out with guests
We decided to take advantage of the setting sun and go for another quick round of pics
Then it was time for a boogie!
And so, as the sun set, we left Caroline & Marc to their partying
Fun day eh?! Always nice being at The Priory, and all the more so when it’s an early ceremony all in the same place, as they day just feels so much more relaxed.
So here’s wishing Caroline & Marc a very happy married life together, and a wonderful honeymoon in Mexico!
All the very best kids,
Barnaby & John
