Pav & Ravi [Pre-Wed]

Saturday was a fantastic & exhausting day, second shooting a dubiously weathered wedding at Ripley Castle with Phil Barber, followed by an ace Sound Gallery gig shoot in a mad old church in Leeds and cheeky pints with Jen & Dave from Pilla into the smaller hours.  It was a day riddled with luck as we somehow managed to duck in and out of biblical monsoons at just the right time.

On Sunday morning I peered through the blinds to see glorious sunshine and thought “That’s more like it! Should be a good day for a pre-wed!”, so I settled down to catch up on Rav & Pav’s plans before meeting them.  An hour later, the patter on my window started drumming over iTunes, had another peep and it was lashing it down!  Ah.  April’s showers seemed to slip Mother Nature’s mind and she’s playing catchup in May!  I watched 4 seasons change in an hour and definitely set off in Spring as I splashed my way across Leeds for the pre-wed.

It really was cool to see Rav & Pav again in anticipation of their wedding coming up in July! They’ve been super efficient and organised and are calm as cows.  As we chatted through the day over coffee in the grand Leeds Marriott reception the sky appeared to rain itself out just in time.  We set out and ventured around the near vicinity for a bit, and just as we wrapped up, it started spitting.  You just can’t guarantee the weather in this country and it just makes me think life is 50% luck and 50% using what you’ve got when opportunities present themself.  Possibly 40/60.  Anyways – it must be late, I’m rambling…

It was great to hang out again and I look forward to the big day in July, whatever the weather!
