Birdsall House Wedding Photos, near Malton in Yorkshire: Zoe + Daniel

Last Saturday I joined Zoe + Dan for their stunning wedding at Birdsall House near Malton in North Yorkshire.

With the sun shining with all it’s might, Zoe + Daniel simply couldn’t have asked for more from their special day around the Birdsall Estate’s spectacular building and grounds! The girls had a relaxing morning in the Bridal Suite while Danny and the gents were 5 minutes drive away at Langton Hall, making full use of the pool before donning their morning suits tails! The ceremony was a beautiful affair in St Mary’s Church on Birdsall estate, before a quick trip in the Rolls to the house for champagne and canapes, with a few fun groups and portraits overlooking the gorgeous lake and gardens.

The wedding breakfast meal was served in a pole tent by the excellent Will’s Marquees, peppered with emotive speeches (and a video of a 10yrs old Danny doing a 10 minute Michael Jackson impression!). Hat’s off to the musician Michael Moore who provided amazing music throughout the entire day; from a vocal solo & cello in the church, ukulele & guitar singer-songwriter covers at the drinks reception and piano during the meal and evening dancefloor – this guy was a legend!

After a few golden hour snaps with Peacock’s hooting in the distance, the cake was cut and first dance struck, before heading round the back of the house for surprise sparklers and an awesome firework display!

The perfect end to the perfect day!

This was the first time I’d photographed at this stunning, sophisticated Yorkshire wedding venue and it was so lovely to meet the fab owners James and Cara Willoughby (plus their three children and their beautiful dogs!) who are the same family who’ve owned and farmed this estate all the way back to 1540! And Becky, the co-ordinator was also an absolute pro, running the day with grace and a light touch!
