Last Saturday I joined Michelle + Nicky for their awesome wedding at Chevin Country Park near Otley, in Yorkshire!
On the very same day as Charley boy’s Coronation, regal proceedings couldn’t overshadow this fabulous, colourful, laughter-filled day!
From the day I met Michelle + Nicky in person, at their pre-wedding practice shoot, I just loved how these two were together. Quick to laugh, very silly, and obsessed with their dachshund Rudy! My tribe!
Chevin Hotel was the perfect place for it too; with a relaxed morning getting ready around the oak-beamed lodge, a quick ceremony in the newly-refurbished, airy conservatory and an afternoon reception out on the deck, overlooking beautiful woodland and tranquil lake (complete with an overprotective family of geese)! Being a bank holiday we’re generally guaranteed rain, and thankfully it came once settled into evening shenanigans & had enjoyed a delicious BBQ buffet! Happy days.
Come the evening, these two couldn’t wait to get out of their glad rags and don matching white hoodies and ripped jeans, fire up some sparklers and tear it up on the dancefloor to the amazing Tytania band!
I do love doing LGBTQ+ wedding photography, as so many stuffy traditions are just thrown out the window for a fun and relaxed day! And this was no exception!
All in all, this ended up being such fun, and the perfect Yorkshire Wedding! I hope you enjoy their wedding story below:
