On New Years Eve I joined Hope + Jacob for their elegant & fun winter wedding photos at Hornington Manor.
I’ve photographed at Hornington Manor a good few times now (and their sister wedding venue The Oakwood at Ryther) and it’s a fantastic spot for a knees up! I love the exclusive, homely vibe couples and their guests get, taking over this beautifully restored farmhouse and specially converted barn. It’s the perfect spot for a relaxed wedding whatever the season. And while threatening to rain outside, we managed to get outside after the ceremony in their purpose built wedding barn for a throw of confetti, group pics and relaxed portraits without anyone dying of cold!
It’s great fun tying a wedding in with New Year, as everyone’s game to celebrate! There was even a bridesmaid celebrating her New Years Eve birthday to double down on reason’s to party! And to make sure the evening arrived with a bang, there were limoncello shots all round, cigars and sparklers to set the night off with a bang!
Hope + Jacob are such a fun-spirited, easy going pair and it was lovely to hear how they’ve (kinda!) been together since they were 16! It was a shame their border collie x poodle Chester couldn’t be there to join the fun, but he’d sent a charming letter along with pics dressed in a tux to show he was also celebrating…
