Last Friday I was lucky enough to join this gorgeous pair for their wedding photography at Peckforton Castle – an frankly incredible castle in Cheshire!
I’ve shot wedding photos at this awesome Cheshire castle a few times in the distant past, but was super excited to return for this one! I’d been lucky enough to have been recommended to these guys by one of their groomsmen, who’d been at a wedding I photographed in Ibiza a few years ago. So that was a pretty cool start! And as soon as I met them, I could tell from the get go that this beautiful pair were gonna throw an amazing and stylish party!
After dropping my second shooter Andy with the guys at the castle, I headed to the girls at The Hollies Forest Lodges (where they’d enjoyed plenty of bubbles the night before, both in and out of their private hot tub!). We then headed in the wedding car (with the top down!) to the castle for the civil ceremony in the vast grand hall. A harpist played and the sight of Beth in her amazing Suzanne Neville dress reduced the groom and groomsmen to tears!
After the ceremony, confetti was thrown while the newlyweds walked down the aisle, and out into the blazing sunshine for delicious nibbles, and fancy beers and champagne! It couldn’t have gone better to be fair, with relaxed portraits and sunny group photos in front of a gorgeous floral arch. After their delicious meal, they’d found a fab guitarist called ‘The Bearded Man’ to serenade guests (and even let guests do a spot of karaoke!) – and the bride and her buddies had a boogie as the sun went down. Before long it was time to cut the cake (with a full on sword no less!), a quick first dance, and then their wedding band, ‘The Rush’ kicked off and got the dancefloor bumping!
