Yesterday I joined Emma + Marco (an old work pal of mine from student days!) for their wedding photography at The Red Lion Burnsall + their wedding reception at Cracoe Village Hall, 15mins over Wharfdale towards Skipton.
It’s a thoroughly lovely part of the Yorkshire Dales (a place that makes my heart swell with local pride), and as you might expect in February there, we got all 4 seasons in a day!  One minute the sun was trying to burst through, then it started drizzling, which turned to sleet, then full on heavy snow, then fortunately – when we needed it – the sun popped out for the hot mulled cider drinks reception & lit the beautiful bus ride between venues, over the windy dry stone walled roads between dales.
It went off a dream actually, Emma looked like a vintage Hollywood film star, Marco (and pretty much all his Italian relatives!) cut a suave & sophisticated dash, and the 11am ceremony time meant everyone had plenty of time to catch up & party.  The catering by Thyme Outside was outstanding (cheers for looking after us guys!), and speeches were great craic (including Emma’s Dad attempting a bi-lingual Anglo/Italian ode to Emma!)
It’s always nice photographing old friends tying the knot, and these guys did it with gusto, yet kept it chilled. Â Check it out…
I hope you enjoy their wedding story!
What a great day hey? Massive congratulations to Emma + Marco! Here’s wishing your a long and happy married life together & a fab honeymoon in Patagonia!
Bacio! Bacio! Bacio!
