Yesterday I joined Laura & Alex for their joyous Wedding Photos at Rudding Park Hotel & Spa

Rudding Park: The ultimate Yorkshire Hotel & Spa for a wedding

We were blessed with another blazing Yorkshire summer’s day, as I joined Laura and team bride in the Russell Room at Rudding Park, being pampered and enjoying glasses of fizz! Vibes were relaxed, as gifts were opened, dresses taken from their bags and hung and Jimmy Choo’s taken out of their expensive protective socks! As I was shooting this one solo, I nipped over to Alex and team Groom for a quick half hours suiting and booting in the funky yellow lounge upstairs in Rudding House. Back to Laura and we were soon in her stunning dress and sliding the door back for the Dad/bridesmaid reveal (and squeal!)

Rudding Chapel is the perfect ornate backdrop for a wedding blessing in what feels like a mini-Cathedral

As the stunning little Rudding Chapel isn’t licensed for weddings, only blessings, Laura & Alex had got the legal paperwork done before the wedding, And this meant they could bring in the services of Celebrant extraordinaire Binny Baker to amusingly tell their story and bless their union, with a few lovely readings from near and dear.

A huddle of cuddles, a hail of confetti and we hit the Rudding frontage for a quick round of groups and portraits, with plenty time left for mingles, drinks and canapés.

A mainly Irish contingent brought great spirits and committed drinking to this Thursday’s wedding, and after a delicious meal and hilarious speeches. It was fun to learn that these newlyweds met on Tinder in 2015 and spent their first valentines date at Rudding Park! There’s rumour that it was the impressive ‘pillow buffet’ options that night that sealed the deal to get married here 9 years later!

And what a celebration it turned into! Post speeches guess-the-next-line-karaoke, beer pong, a photobooth, silly light up sunglasses for all and cigars under the portico! Before long, we cut the elegant, towering cake and it was time to dance! Light sticks came out and it was heartwarming to see all the family and friends get stuck in on the dancefloor!

All in all: a fun-packed wedding at an incredible Yorkshire wedding venue!

You couldn’t ask for more and the newlyweds looked like they had the time of their lives! It was just a shame their little fur babies, Bella & Harper couldn’t be part of the action!
