Last Saturday I joined Emily + Charlie for their brilliant wedding photography at Rudding Park near Harrogate in North Yorkshire!
Emily + Charlie got together in a whirlwind romance at the start of the pandemic, and their classy yet relaxed wedding celebrations just showed how much fun the are together! From a quiet civil ceremony in Rudding’s Wyatt Room, with just 20 near and dear, to squeezing 140 guests into the intimate Rudding Park estate chapel for a fun blessing. After confetti and group pics quickly smashed out on the Rudding House steps, they closing the entire Rudding Park golf course for a huge reception by Will’s Marquees by the lake! I clung to the back of their ‘just married’ golf buggy as the evening sun came out, and they mingled with fizz, delicious canapes and the summer sounds of Charles’s Steel Drum Band! Their delicious Hog Roast wedding meal was served with vintage Bordeaux from 2 giant Melchior bottles (each containing a whopping 24 regular bottles)! Hilarious speeches were nailed and and cheese & cheeky 20yr old port eased guests into the evening, before their stunning cake was cut and the Alive Network’s ‘The Supreme Syndicate’ got the dancefloor bouncing! The dancefloor was such fun to shoot I was somehow found myself there at the end!
A huge big up to Lucy at Lucy Wright Events for cool and collectedly organising a veritable army of suppliers and making this day run without a hitch! Rudding Park was as beautiful as always and it made a lovely change to shoot on the golf course itself! But at the heart of this wedding was a fun couple who love to party and very much in love!
