Last weekend I joined Amelia + Jack for their wedding celebrations at Falcon Manor – a stunning dog-friendly country manor venue in Settle in the Yorkshire Dales.
I do a lot of wedding photography in Yorkshire, and Falcon Manor really was a new gem for me! I’ve actually stayed their many years ago – when it was a bit of a run down hotel that wouldn’t be out of place in an Agatha Christie Murder Mystery – but in the past few years it’s been completely refurbished and modernised! It’s now got to be one of the Yorkshire Dales funkiest new bespoke wedding locations!
Amelia + Jack, their lovely dog Marley, and their guests had an exclusive run of the place all day. And while it rained from their ceremony at St John The Evangelist Church in Langcliffe pretty much all day on and off (April showers hey!) we did get chance to throw some confetti and even got outside for a few portraits and wedding party group shots, as well as making use of the Manor’s grand staircase and rooms. It was also great to hear my old pal Rupert Stroud keeping the crowds happy with his dulcet tones during the reception and evening knees up!
Being a dog owner, I do like to see venues that are genuinely dog friendly, and Falcon Manor being owned by a brewery, even named a beer pump after Marley for all the guests to enjoy!
