Confetti wedding photograph of a happy couple at Standedge Tunnel and Visitor Centre in Marsden

Last weekend we joined Stacey + Bob for their wedding photos at Standedge Tunnel and Visitor Centre in Marsden – a unique wedding venue at the end of ‘One of the Seven Wonders of the Waterways’ – the longest canal tunnel in Britain!

I do a lot of wedding photography in Yorkshire and it’s lovely to shoot at new, unusual venues.  Nestled in the wonderful Pennine countryside (in this case, mainly under a Spring blanket of mist and drizzle!), this stunning old warehouse makes for a great setting to get married.  It’s got huge, separate floors for the ceremony & the reception (which is great when the weather’s a bit grim out!), as well as an obstacle course outside for drunk guests to fall off!

But one thing that made this wedding ace was the modes of transport! Not only did the wedding party leg it (canal tunnel term alert!) around in a 1966 VW maroon split-screen Campervan called Florence, but the visitors centre’s canal enthusiasts shuttled the couple and their guests to the wedding in style aboard their 3 canal boats…

Stacey + Bob are a cute pair too. They got together on Friday 13th six years ago, so the wedding day ended up being their anniversary too – which could either help Bob remember his anniversary, or get him in deep trouble!

So get a cuppa Yorkshire tea on and hit play on the slideshow below to enjoy Stacey & Bob’s wedding highlights slideshow…

I’ll be uploading their full set of images to a password protected client area in just a few weeks, so if you’d like to be notified when all their images go live, register your interest at: clients.barnabyaldrick.com/StaceyAndBob. (NB: I’ll only use your email address to notify you about their gallery)

In the meantime, feel free to share this loveliness – share to Facebook using the buttons at the bottom (or copy and paste the web address URL into a status), or visit my Facebook page here to share there, or pin these images to Pinterest too!

And as the slideshow can rattle past pics a bit quick, I also like to feature my fave photos from their special day at The Standedge Tunnel Visitors Centre below too, so here goes…

Here’s wishing Stacey & Bob huge congratulations, a very happy life together and a wonderful honeymoon in Portugal in June!
