Last Saturday I joined the lovely Emma + Keaon for their wedding photos at The Fleece Countryside Inn in Ripponden in the beautiful Ryburn valley in Yorkshire, overlooking the picturesque village of Ripponden.
I had a lovely morning split between Emma and the girls at home near Lightcliffe and Keaon and team groom over in Brighouse. The vast and beautiful St Matthew’s Church in Lightcliffe hosted their nuptials, but sadly a stuffy vicar shut down all photography from the front (which sadly does spoil a couple’s wedding story, but fortunately these guys seem less and less common these days).
Afterwards, we threw confetti and headed across the beautiful Calder Valley to the historic 18th century coaching inn for drinks, pics and some good Yorkshire food! You can see why this lovely pub has been awarded 2 AA Rosettes for the quality of its food and 5 Stars for its rooms, making it the most decorated country inn in the Calder Valley. The attentive, down to earth staff made it the perfect place for a feast and a party!
Emotions ran high during the speeches, as both Emma + Keaon had lost dear parents recently, but they were honoured and remembered, and soon everyone was enjoying the roulette casino table, the photobooth and getting stuck into the dancefloor!
