Earlier this week I joined Laura + Matt for their wedding photos at Barmbyfields Barn in Barmby Moor, near York!
It was my first visit to this a fantastic barn wedding venue – slap bang in the middle of a working farm with just miles of stunning arable countryside in all directions!
While I joined the girls at Laura’s parents house in Brayton, near Selby, my wingman Hamish spent the morning at Matt & Laura’s home in the pretty village of Eastrington, and the chaps could literally see the church from their bedroom window. So after tying their fancy ties, they strolled over to greet guests and await a punctual bride! And after a lovely ceremony at St Michael’s and a whole sea of confetti thrown, we all headed off to the reception for an afternoon in the sun! The Hog + Apple catered absolutely stunning canapés and a slow cooked lamb main course dish that blew our minds (these guys are the best caterers around by a long shot!), and after humourous and poignant speeches, it was time for a knees up to the amazing Wilde Ones function band, who rocked the night away.
It was quite lovely joining these two and their fun family and friends to celebrate this special day, and we were even treated to a blast of evening golden hour sunshine just before the first dance for a few more portraits in the corn fields!
