Cowparsley Weddings Photos South Stainley, near Harrogate: Nat + Tom

Yesterday I joined Nat + Tom for their photos at Cowparsley Weddings in South Stainley near Harrogate, in North Yorkshire.

It was a the perfect sunny summers day for a wedding! After relaxed preparations with Nat and the girls at the Yorkshire Hotel in Harrogate I headed over to Bilton House, Harrogate’s registry office, to join Tom and team groom. The early 11am ceremony was lovely and after hugs and a shower of confetti, off we shot to the amazing Mountgarret Estate for the Cowparsley Wedding reception!

Nat + Tom had time for some relaxed portraits and a good chill out (plus a few games of bowling!) before afternoon guests arrived for delicious canapés and fizz. Then out of nowhere, mother nature stirred up the hay high into the sky in a bonkers, slow-motion cyclone in the adjacent field! Outdoor games were the order of the day, with croquet, a coconut shy, bowling and sack races, and later a random game, where 2 partners have to see how far they can stretch to place a bottle of wine from a start line with no more than 4 points of contract with the ground!? Made for fun pics!

After Purple Chilli Catering‘s sharing starters and delicious mains, dad, the groom and best man delivered fun speeches before more games and soaking in the rays. Their pal made them (read Leeds Megafan Tom) a surprise wedding cake – the first Leeds United cake I’ve seen, with it’s own Marcelo Bielsa statuette! – which was cut just before their first dance. Half way through their evening’s entertainment, the incredible New York Brass Band bowled in, playing along and like pied pipers, led guests out to dance in the field as the sun set! What a way to close a beautiful day.

It’s the first time I’ve visited Cow parsley Weddings and what a delight it was!
