Last Saturday I crossed the Pennines to join Sophie + Ben for their wedding photography at Meols Hall in Churchtown, near Southport in Lancashire!
It was a perfect Spring day for it, daffodils standing proud… weather occasionally sunny but threatening to rain at the drop of a hat!
But Sophie + Ben were a ray of light all day long – a relaxed, stunning pair, fun to be around and in the moment throughout their corker of a day! It’s all you could ask for really!
I shot this one solo, and nipped between Sophie and her girls, getting ready upstairs at Remedy in Churchtown, and Ben and the dudes over in the middle of Southport. Once everyone converged on the stunning 12th century Meols Hall with its converted 16th-century tithe barn, everything flowed a charm. A hail of confetti kicked off the afternoon reception, followed by a quick round of groups & portraits, as their pals serenaded their guests in the coachhouse. Then after a delightful meal and speeches, I took the happy couple out into the golden hour sunlight for a few final portraits before bidding them farewell, and wrapping up a perfect day!
I’ve shot there a few times now and I do love doing wedding photos at Meols Hall! Especially with a couple as lovely as these two!
