On Saturday I joined Jess + Tom for their relaxed wedding photography at the Northern Monk Brewery in Leeds city centre!

It was the first time I’ve shot here, and the Northern Monk Refectory LDS made the perfect location for a funky, DIY wedding with a sharp focus on the award-winning beers they brew there on the ground floor!

After joining Jess and team bride for their chilled morning preps a stones throw from Leeds’ Riverside, I headed over to the dudes in Holbeck – where the Northern Monk sits. Packed with red-brick mills and waterways, this area was once Leeds’ industrial heartland; where John Marshall built his giant Mills and pioneered the use of steam power to spin flax into cloth.

I caught up with Tom in the Refectory, on the first floor the ‘Old Flax Store’ and before long Jess pulled up looking gorgeous in her gown and their celebrant gave a moving ceremony – as it has been a tough year for this lovely pair.

After a quick throw of confetti, a handful of group shots, and a quick portrait lap of Holbeck’s cobbled, red brick streets, it was time to get stuck into lovely beers, El Cantina’s ace Mexican Streetfood nibbles and the company of their guests.

Speeches were moving and poignant, and before long they were doing a quick first dance to the Ska classic ‘I’m in the Mood For Love’… and the rest of the night, the dancefloor was alight!

So grab yourself a nice craft ale and check it out for yourself below!

I’ll be uploading their full set of images to a password protected client area in just a few weeks, so if you’d like to be notified when all their images go live, register to be notified at: clients.barnabyaldrick.com/JessAndTom

(NB: I’ll only use your email address to notify you about their gallery)

In the meantime, enjoy the gallery below too, and feel free to share this loveliness to Facebook using the buttons at the bottom (or copy and paste the web address URL into a status), or via my Facebook page here / by hovering over the images to pin to Pinterest.

Enjoy!

So here’s wishing this lovely couple, a very happy married life together and a fab honeymoon break in Islay in Scotland (have a wee peaty dram for me!)

Loads of love guys!
