Last week I joined Sam + Tony for their beautiful wedding photos at The Pheasant Hotel in Harome near Helmsley in North Yorkshire!
Now this was the perfect family centric affair! All the near and dear played a role, from bearing rings, to doing readings and their theatrical kids (full on Pro-West Enders!) stole the show singing the Oscar-winning song ‘Falling Slowly’ from the stage show (and amazing movie) ‘Once’! The day had that excellent blend of relaxed vibes, with classy touches. Bespoke suits, amazing flora and the gastro delights of The Pheasant – one of my fave country pubs in all Yorkshire! And to top it all off, the sun shone, and we even got to conduct the speeches on the Terrace, after a cracking meal.
Apparently the story is that when she got divorced, she bought a horse. The natural replacement for a man! But Tony had horses at the same stables… The rest is history!
They’re such a fun pair; each other’s ying and yang. Their speeches revealed Sam’s dad was a west end musical director, and she’s performed as a Julie Walter’s equal ‘Mrs Overalls’! They also showed Tony’s special bond with his best man & business partner, and how skiing trips brought the whole gang together.
It wasn’t long before it was time to boogie – and with so many theatrical darlings in the house, accompanied by a swinging, jazzy function band, the floor was full of shapes and fun!
You couldn’t really ask for more from a perfect Yorkshire wedding! Big credit to Nicola, Liam and the team there for being stars as ever!
