Yesterday we joined Harriet & Chris to photograph their big day!
They hosted their wedding reception at The Old Swan in Harrogate…
…and in spite of an evil forecast, we managed to stay dry for 90% of the day!
I hope you enjoy our the story of this special day!
I joined Harriet & team Bride at her folks’ place for a relaxed morning’s preparations in Alwoodley.
Look at this amazing Justin Alexander wedding gown!
Check out the vibrant colour in Harriet’s hair and flora!
Amazing flowers by Anna at Arcadian Flowers
I could also tell that Harriet was my kinda bride when I saw her smart French manicure paired with a crazy coral pedicure, secretly hidden in her shoes!
Mum looked absolutely stunning in her Ian Stewart wedding outfit.
Meanwhile, Clare headed over to Horsforth to join Chris…
…and Team Groom for their morning preps at Harriet & Chris’ place.
Their Catholic wedding service was held The Immaculate Heart of Mary, on Harrogate Road in Leeds.
Love this one!
It’s always lovely capturing the moment when dad first sees his daughter all dressed up for her wedding
The window light in Harriet’s parents new kitchen was just magic. Â I simply love the bright flowers and almost orange hair!
Time to celebrate!
Then time to go!
Here comes the bride!
Arguably the fastest kiss in all the weddings we’ve photographed!
CONFETTI BOMB!
Then over we headed to The Old Swan in central Harrogate for the arvo reception
It was so good that the weather held, because outside the swan was awash with cherry blossom
It was lovely to take a quick turn around the grounds…
to let the newlyweds relax together before jumping into the party
Chris went to school with a few good pals of ours, so it was great to catch up with them, hear how they’re getting on, and watch them get progressively more drunk!
A few quick family shots…
…and a few cheeky shots with the wedding party
Then it was in for dinner in the equally vibrantly decorated tea party themed wedding breakfast.
Speeches were just lovely, if tragically sad in places, as Chris’ father Des had suddenly passed away in the weeks running up to the wedding.
After the meal I took Harriet & Chris out for another quick round of pics
Then it was time for the evening party! Â Time to cut the cake
And time for some fun on our photobooth!

The very excellent Vibetown brought the evening’s musical entertainment
It was great to see everyone enjoying such a happy wedding day, and so good to see how well suited Chris & Harriet are together.
Here’s hoping they have a relaxing honeymoon break in the Cotswolds!
