On Tuesday I joined Frankie + Andy for their wedding photos at Wharfedale Grange near Harewood Bridge and Harrogate, in North Yorkshire!
As usual this summer, the weather started out suspect with a few immense showers, but thankfully it behaved when it counted and my wingman Ben + I had a fab time documenting the action in the sunshine!
While I spent a relaxed morning with team bride upstairs in Wharfedale Grange’s secret dressing room, Ben joined the boys in the Grade II listed Georgian Farmhouse. Andy’s a coach to the famous GB cycling team, and this pair love to cycle! Their were many fun nods, including his surprise wedding ring (made of bike grade carbon fibre!), a bike wheel picture frame and tables named after a tonne of epic hill climbs this pair have done together!
After buttonholes were fixed and Frankie’s stunning gown donned, we did an emotional first look with dad before heading down to the ceremony in the North Barn. Through a hail of confetti the newlyweds emerged for fizz, canapes and a quick round of fun group pics in front of the rolling hills of Wharfedale.
A delicious wedding breakfast was later served in the South Barn, followed by charming speeches. Then before we knew it the bouquet was tossed and confetti cannons were firing all over first dance, under a vast rose gold mirror ball!
It was great to join this fun pair and fab to be back at Wharfedale Grange! All in all, you couldn’t have hoped for a nicer couple and a nicer day! Proudly standing in front of the ‘Married in Yorkshire!’ sign, it was the perfect Yorkshire Wedding, and I hope you enjoy my wedding story below from this very special day…
