Yesterday I joined Phil & Jennie to photograph their wedding at Woodlands Hotel In Leeds!
It was a drizzly morning when I headed over to join Jen & the bridal gang for their preps at Woodlands Hotel, but it’s still a stunning spot whatever the weather
Anywhere with a moose above the fire is good with me.
There were a few understandable concerns from our otherwise chilled-out bride-to-be about the weather, but the weather played ball in the end!
“Wiffy to be (open before you put on your make-up)”
😉
Jennie looked completely different with make up on.
No wait, this is the bridesmaid Sam.
My mistake.
😉
It’s all about the wedding choos & matching clutch!
Until the rag your feet anyways, then it’s time for custom Cons!
The beautiful flora across the day were supplied by Annemarie Wilkinson flowers.
Soon we had more company from ‘Frozen’ fan, flowergirl Emily & shy Tom.
Aww. Little sweetie.
Meanwhile, my wingman Hamish tagged along with the chaps at Phil & Jen’s home in Liversage
Phil had had a bespoke suit made especially, with local suppliers and Yorkshire cloth, and it looked ace!
As a Liverpool fan to his wife-to-be’s Everton allegiance, he wore both red & blue Paul Smith cufflinks!
Jen bought Phil a beautiful Rolex as a wedding gift, to remember this special day.
I like the idea of a watch as a wedding present, as like a ring, when worn they trigger memories of whence they came.
Love the light in this little scene Hamish caught as the chaps were about to head back to Woodlands.
The Brooklands suite at Woodlands was beautifully dressed, and adorned with giant balloons!
I like the idea of the ‘Who’s Who’ section in the order of service, with little backstory gems for each key player:
(eg. Phil: Fell asleep on his 18th Birthday with a reading candle & burnt his birthday money)
A sharp-looking suit indeed!
I like the forest gump quote sewn into the collar!
A bit of motherly support from mum while waiting for the bride…
…who was upstairs busy gowning up!
Love this photo.
It’s great to be able to get a natural and memorable moment of dad and his daughter, when they’re bursting with pride.
A wonderfully read speech from Flowergirl Emily!
It had been drizzling all morning and had just about cleared by the time our happy couple headed down the ailse, so we dived outside to blow bubbles of good wished for the new Mr & Mrs!
Then we managed to whistle through a few quick family lineups and wedding party teamshots before the drizzle came back!
Jennie’s angels!
As it was still a bit dank outside, we decided to do a few pics indoors, starting with these giant letters supplied by the Elitesounds DJ’s Dean & Jonathan.
Eventually it cleared again, and we headed outside for a quick round of relaxed portraits.
I like how Phil’s keeping himself dry, leaving Jen exposed!
😉
But it pretty had much stopped and we got chance to do a lovely set of chilled out pics around the grounds.
We even decided to get one of the giant balloons into play
😉
The Woodlands restaurant was all set for the wedding meal
I like how tables were numbered, but by photo’s of Jen & Phil across the ages
Always refreshing to hear a bride do a speech!
Then evening started to set in over Woodlands hotel, and guests moved into the marquee for the evening reception…
Emily & a pal gave requested a favourite song from the ‘Frozen’ soundtrack and treated everyone to an adorable performance!
Then we opened up out photobooth for a bit of evening fun!
The it was time to officially cut the cake and hit the dancefloor for the first dance…
Aww.
And then we left the gang to get down and enjoy the evening’s knees up!
Fun times!
Here’s wishing Mr & Mrs B a very happy life indeed, and a wonderful honeymoon in Vegas, Aruba & New York City!
x
