Last Saturday I joined Charlotte + Adam for their wedding photos at Yorebridge House, a fab Boutique hotel wedding venue in Yorkshire.
With my wingwoman Steph White at my side, we set of early doors from Leeds to drive to my favourite of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, Wensleydale (yep where the cheese is from!). Once we passed Leyburn, we stopped every 5 minutes to take establishing shots of the stunning rolling hills. Even in the gloomy Autumnal weather, it was something to behold! And while it mainly rained the entire day (which explains why ‘God’s Own’ Yorkshire Dales are so green and pleasant!), the wedding day was just perfect!
Relaxed preparations took place in the stylish rooms at Yorebridge house, while Charlotte and Adam gave and received thoughtful gifts, to one another and the wedding party. The noon wedding ceremony was held in the bright airy Orangery, soundtracked by the talented Alex Birtwell. Afterwards, guests mingled around the various reception rooms of the hotel, grazing on fizz and delicious canapés. Emotions were tender during speeches, with Adam honouring his departed father with a boozy toast, as well as a touching speech from his uncle. Then suddenly the surprise entrance of singing waiters switched the tone and before we knew it, guests were standing on their seats twirling napkins and joining in the anthems! The happy couple didn’t seem too fussed about us having not got outside for portraits in front of the Dalesy backdrop, and were pouring Moet into a tower of champagne glasses to kick off the evening proceedings! Alex returned with a DJ and his mighty pedalboard to play in the first dance and a set that kept the dancefloor bumping from start to finish!Â
An amazing day all round!
