Church confetti before a Papakata Sperry Tent Garden Wedding reception, Garden Marquee Wedding, Papakata Sperry Tent Wedding, Sperry Tent Marquee Wedding, Yorkshire garden Marquee Wedding company

Last weekend my wingman Andy & I joined Beth + Andy for their fantastic garden wedding in a ‘Your Marquee’ Pole Marquee Big Top Tent at their mum’s beautiful house in a village just outside York in North Yorkshire!

Now I love tipi wedding at the best of times, but these cool cats threw possibly THE MOST FUN wedding I’ve been to in years! The village church vicar was frankly HILARIOUS, the guests ended the service with an acapella version of Ben E King’s ‘Stand By Me’, then after a confetti tunnel the newlyweds walked 2 minutes down the road to the garden party fizz reception on mum’s lawn. Round the back of the house stood the grand ‘big top’ style white marquee, with flags fluttering in the breeze and a retro swing band raring to go… and almost all the guests immediately got up to dance (helped along by scotch eggs, self poured local ale from the keg & ‘Jager Saucers’ – don’t ask!).

Everything just went off and continued to do so ALL DAY! There was a photo booth in the garage, speeches from the usual suspects AND Mum & The Bride too (and why not!), and then after MASSIVE on the bone steaks and trimmings, another incredible band came for yet more dancing! It all just went off! Even when this dodgy summer’s rain came (which fortunately was after they sat to eat!), it didn’t dampen the spirits.

So settle back with a nice cup of Yorkshire Tea and enjoy their highlights in the slideshow below:

I’ll be uploading their full set of images to a password protected client area in just a few weeks, so if you’d like to be notified when all their images go live, register your interest at: clients.barnabyaldrick.com/BethAndAndy. (NB: I’ll only use your email address to notify you about their gallery)

What a day, hey?! I wanted to stay and join the party!

We just felt so welcome at this wonderful wedding, and had such a blast witnessing all the shenanegans – so a big thank you to all the wonderful guests and family!

But mainly, huge congratulations to Beth & Andy, and may you be as happy as this forever!
