Last Saturday I joined Sadie + Dan for their beautiful wedding photos at The Priory in Syninthwiate, a stunning barn and marquee venue on a working farm near Wetherby in Yorkshire!
It’s so good to be back shooting weddings again and for things to be getting back to (a ‘new-ish’) normal!
Everything was hosted at Priory Cottages and Sadie, Dan and their guests had a relaxed morning getting pampered or playing footie with a few beers in the baking sun, with Milo their water-loving cocker spaniel. This was the first time I’ve done an outside ceremony, in the courtyard surrounded by summer flowers & lavender, and in front of a stunning floral arch by Natasha Jane Events. Then in spite of it feeling like the hottest weekend of the year and everyone being about to melt / spontaneously combust, we flew through some relaxed groups and portraits and had a few afternoon reception scoops! Emotional speeches preceded a delicious mezze buffet laid out at each table, then after the cutting of the cake and a fun first dance, we skipped with Milodog into the sunset!
Not a bad day at all! And I just love this couple – so quick to throw up their arms in celebration, and so tender and lovely with one another!
