Last Saturday I joined the gorgeous Hannah + Jonny for their stunning wedding photography at Priory Cottages in Syninthwiate, a beautiful wedding barn on a working farm near Wetherby in Yorkshire!
I do enjoy shooting at Priory Cottages, and while the forecast often put the ‘weather’ in ‘Wetherby’ (a gag that works better off the page!) the sun put its hat on and we had a gloriously sunny day!
After fun preparations in their cottages, they held their civil ceremony upstairs in the barn, followed by a shower of confetti before enjoying delicious reception drinks and nibbles from Taste Cuisine. We got a fab set of relaxed group photos around the pond & in front of the ancient Priory, and before we knew it, speeches were done and dusted and it was time for a few SUPERHERO shots! As well as being big into American Footie, the groom is a bit superhero fan – so the guys were wearing superhero t-shirts under their suits for a special photo!
Before long, the cake (a secret superhero & American football, obvs!) was cut and the bride’s dad jumped on the drums to join his band to play the evening set! Then before we left we got all the revellers outside for a bit of fun with sparklers!
As usual, the shenanigans at were run wonderfully by Serena & the gang at The Priory, and the day went off without a hitch… But the thing I liked most of all was how lovely and chilled this happy couple were together!
