Last Saturday I joined Lizzie + Rich for their wedding photos at The Priory in Syninthwiate, a stunning barn and marquee wedding venue on a working farm near Wetherby in Yorkshire!
I do enjoy a spring wedding at Priory Cottages – it’s one of those exclusive wedding Barn venues that’s fab even if it’s a bit cool out. It’s slickly run by Serena, Amy and the gang, is quick to get round for portraits and groups while guests enjoy the barn bar or the terrace, and has some novel spaces for say throwing confetti etc. But the thing that makes a good wedding AWESOME, are the couple and their party people – and Lizzie, Rich and their respective crews were an AWESOME LOT! Honestly, there was a lot of love going round! My second shooter Andy & I just really clicked with Rich, his Batman socks and his hockey buddies, and beautiful Lizzie and her bridesmaids/hens were a riot. Then there was a Hockey stick guard of honour, cute vintage cars, crazy golf back at the Priory, a line out style bouquet toss, double confetti action and for one special bridesmaid, double dessert action! The tasty nibbles, bubbly boozings and frankly delicious dinner was provided by James and Nicole at one of my fave caterers evs, Blakefields Events (who I’d have used them at my wedding last December were they available), and during the post meal speeches, Lizzie + Rich thanked us personally for our photography service and made us feel warm and fuzzy inside!
So all in all, it honestly was the perfect day for all involved, and it was such an honour to be part of all the shenanigans.

What a lovely day hey? Such a fab couple and so much fun! I almost forgot that as soon as we’d done with these evening flash pics above, we all got a fish supper from their fish & chip van! Nom!
