On Friday I joined the stunning Natalie + Roger for their photography at their Spring wedding at Middleton Lodge in the North Yorkshire town of Middleton Tyas, near Richmond. It was a magical, fun-filled day hanging out with this romantic pair and their eclectic buddies!  It was our first time photographing the preparations in the Lodge’s spanking new Coach House complex, then the rest of the day was hosted in the beautiful Georgian Palladian mansion, with the ceremony and meal in the beautiful hall, surrounded by a grand sweeping staircase, before wrapping up the party in the funky wine cellar bar.  Nat’s dress was one of the most unusual Hamish & I have seen in ages, and the signs & flora they’d dotted around the wedding looked fabulous.  Check out the full highlights in the slideshow below…

It was great to see the completed new coach house complex Middleton Lodge have been working so hard on!
I like that one member of the wedding party was called a ‘bridesmate’ and the grooms sister was an unofficial usher!

Aww. Â These guys are so romantic together and have a lovely story behind how they decided to tie the knot, after a period of illness.

During the afternoon reception, canapes were done as in an afternoon tea format!
They’d hand-made a piñata full of sweets, to batter during the reception!
The emotional speeches were done in the drawing room before the meal, which made for an unusual touch.

As the evening set in, guests were shuffled downstairs to the cellar bar for the evening party!
What a beautiful wedding eh? Â It was a total pleasure hanging out with these lovely kids, and documenting all the fun of their story for them to remember.
Here’s hoping they have a wonderful life together as man & wife, and have a fab honeymoon break in the Cotswolds!
