Last week we headed up to Lake Windermere in the Lake District to photograph the very lovely wedding of Kathryn & Richard at Low Wood Hotel!
Wingman Hamish & I decided to pop up a few days prior to the wedding, on Wednesday, for a quick catch up with the happy-couple-to-be and possibly the raniest pre-wedding shoot I’ve ever done (good ol’Lake District!). The next day we took a good 5hr stomp from Ambleside up and around Loughrigg a) for the craic and b) to photographically set the wedding story in some stunning landscape images overlooking Lake Windermere, Ambleside and Rydal/Grasmere. Fortunately, the generally ominous forecasts for our stomp and the big day itself ended up being mainly sunny intervals with minimal downpours, and the story ended up being quite beautiful indeed! Not only because of the stunning setting, ancient church and afternoon cruise on the water, but because Kathryn & Richard were loving every moment and their friends and family were a fantastic crowd!
