Yesterday my wingman Andy Mattherson & I joined the lovely Kayleigh + John for their wedding at Crow Hill in Marsden – a stunning former mill owner’s country house nestled in the Marsden Moors in West Yorkshire.
While it was one of the more wintery weddings I’ve shot this year, it still ended up being loads of fun, and we even managed to find a 2 minute gap between the drizzle to throw a handful of confetti before ducking for cover!
As a huge fan of tweed attire, I loved the gents navy three piece suits – John and the gang looked the business! The girls arrived having done hair and make up already, so had a relaxed morning around the lovely rooms of Crow Hill. Then after groupshots and a few quick portraits, it was all about hanging out mingles and nibbles (and a little mulled wine spill down the wedding gown – eek!) before sitting down for a deliciously hearty lamb dinner in their winter woodland themed marquee! In the evening we ran the fun photobooth for a bit, cut the cake, did possibly the worlds shortest first dance then hit the dancefloor for a good ol’knees up! Fun was had by all, and once again, Crow Hill nailed a relaxed wedding, even on a gloomy winter’s day! So top work Eve, Jess and the gang!
