This weekend I’ll be joining this lovely pair, Sarah & Rich, for their wedding photography at The Crab & Lobster Hotel, near Thirsk in Yorkshire!
I love shooting at this venue as weddings are split between ‘Crab Manor’, the elegant hotel in an 18th-century Georgian manor, and the Crab & Lobster Restaurant – a thatched, nautically themed restaurant, famous for it’s seafood!  The thing I like about this place is it’s authentic boutique stylings – all the rooms are decorated according to different themes, ranging from an Indian palace to a Nordic lodge, and there are random, fun nicknacks hung, strung and strewn across all surfaces (and even things like a full Bell Diving suit and a skelenton in a wicker wheelchair hung from the ceilings!).  Basically, anywhere with a giant yeti in a tiara and a secret beer tap (that’s free to all who can find it), is good with me!
The drizzly conditions when I hooked up with Sarah & Richard in Crab Manor weren’t enough to dampen their spirits!  And after catching up about the big day plans, we set out with an umbrella for a round of practice pics, to get them used to being papped!  They’re a brilliant pair, and these are a few highlights from our shoot…
Stay tuned here for highlights from their big day just a few days after the wedding!
