This weekend I’ll be joining these guys, Emily & Ben for their big day around Leeds!
They’re getting married at The Fav in Leeds before heading out to Thorner, to the Victory Hall there, for their reception.
As I’ve not shot there before, we decided to meet there for a catch up and wander around the area to get a good idea where to do some pics on the wedding day.  Thorner is a beautiful traditional old country Yorkshire village, that’s actually surprisingly easy to get to from Leeds.  The village hall there is also ace to use as a wedding venue as it’s completely yours to dress your own way, so I’m excited to see what these guys do with it.
It was great to see this fun couple again, as I’d seen them at Matt & Simon’s wedding earlier this summer.  As always, I wanted to put them at ease about the portrait process (as most find it pretty squeamish!) and put them through a quick shoot to show them what I need from them and how it feels, as well as using it as an opportunity to scout the village and nearby fields for nice backgrounds.  Thorner is lovely, and I had a good wander around after they’d left to set the scene and scope a few angles.
These are a few of my faves from the visit!
Lovely eh? A cute pair and a cracking location.  Can’t wait to get there for the shoot on Saturday!
Cheers for looking and stay tuned for a blog of highlights here, a day or two after the wedding…
