A photo from a spring wedding at Christ Church in St Albans near London in England

Last weekend I joined Rosie + John for their wedding celebrations at Christ Church in St Albans, north of London!

It was a very special day indeed, not only because a) my fiancé was Chief Bridesmaid, b) her family go to this church and c) they know the couple and their family very well, but because it was such a wonderful day celebrating the love between two very special individuals who are just so right for each another! They’ve not had the easiest of rides together, but have grown together and been so supportive of each other, and their church community and powerful faith has really helped them through! You could definitely feel the love for them there.

As Rosie’s the daughter of the vicar, the day was held entirely at their church, just opposite the vicarage where they got ready. And as her brother is also a vicar, the ceremony was co-conducted by not one, but two members of the family! And the ceremony itself really was quite magic, packed to the rafters with well wishers and church goers, and with plenty of hands raised to the Lord in upbeat worship (no mumbled hymns here!). Then after a relaxed cake based reception and a round of lawn games, a confetti tunnel led guests into the church hall for a yummy meal. Suddenly it was time for their first dance to Etta James’ At Last (which my lady Lynsey and I helped teach them!), and before we knew it, they’d slipped away from their boogie-ing guests and had got changed and bundled down a tunnel of guests to be driven off to the hotel to start their honeymoon! Whoop.

So here are my highlights of their story day, first as a slideshow below to enjoy their wedding highlights slideshow…

I’ll be uploading their full set of images to a password protected client area in just a few weeks, so if you’d like to be notified when all their images go live, register your interest at: clients.barnabyaldrick.com/RosieAndJohn. (NB: I’ll only use your email address to notify you about their gallery)

In the meantime, feel free to share this loveliness – share to Facebook using the buttons at the bottom (or copy and paste the web address URL into a status), or visit my Facebook page here to share, or hover over the images to pin to Pinterest too!

And as the slideshow can rattle past favourite pics, here are my fave photos from their special day at Christ Church in St Albans…

What a lovely day hey?

What a super sweet pair hey? Huge congratulations from the bottom of my heart!

(John has been secretly planning the honeymoon for some time and unveiled to Rosie during his speech that he was whisking her to Verona for a break around Lake Garda – So I hope they have a wonderful time!)

Lots of love,

x

Barnaby

There weren’t actually many official suppliers at this wedding beyond Catering by Retro Mum Catering and a Photobooth by Camarose, because Rosie’s mum, Jackie and the church congregation all pitched in to make it look so wonderful! Well done everyone!
