Last Saturday Hamish & I headed pretty much as far South as is possible without leaving England, to shoot wedding photography for the very lovely Vicky & Dom in Devon!
I know Dom’s family well, as I’m good pals with his cousin Juliet, and also photographed her brother Joe’s wedding, to Beckie a few years back. So it was fab to be in the company of these fine folk again, and to go so far afield to shoot such a fun-filled day around such a lovely part of the country.
The day was a hosted all over Devon, with bridal preparations took place in Vicky’s home town, over the river from Dartmouth, in Kingswear (where the wedding ceremony also took place, at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church); while the groom’s morning was spent enjoying breakfast and the company of his men at the location of the wedding reception, the beautiful Buckland Tout Saints Hotel in Kingsbridge. With a bit of logistics around tight streets, over water on both passenger and cargo ferries, as well as a splash of prosecco in the minibus back to Buckland, the day went off without a hitch. Clearly Dom and Vicky’s love of lists and spreadsheets paid off!
I hope you enjoy the story of their special day!
Thank you Vicky and Dom for asking us all the way down to the South Coast to share in all the fun of your big day!
Here’s hoping you have a wonderful life together and a magic honeymoon in LA, Hawaii & Seattle!
Party on kids!
