© Barnaby Aldrick 2009I was lucky enough to be asked to Ireland recently to hang out with and photograph a band I’m really good friends with [in fact I used to play bass in this band once upon a time].  They booked Clare & I a flight and off we flew to get some promotional pictures for their new album.  Check out ODi’s ODi myspace or ODi website to sample their most excellent tunes.

We had a lovely weekend hanging out at their house in Drogheda (a small villiage an hour north of Dublin) watching Quantum Leap and drove a 300 mile round trip to County Wexford in the South-East to play a cheeky little festival at a lighthouse.  It was their new little dog Luka’s first long journey in a car, and he did two quite splendid pukes, on the seat and in Dave’s jean pocket.  Here a few photos that caught my eye during the weekend. © Barnaby Aldrick 2009

On the way back we stopped at Eddie Rockets American diner on the outskirts of Dublin for malt shakes, cheesy fries and burgers.  Dig this place out if you’re ever down that way.  It rules.

Another day we took little Mo & Luka out for a stroll down a beautiful, deserted beach near Drogheda.  It was colder than it looked…
