Yesterday I joined Emma + Stuart for the wedding photography at their brilliantly fun wedding at Fountains Abbey, near Ripon in North Yorkshire.
It was a perfectly understated affair, with only 9 family guests, Emma + Stu and myself! After a lovely civil service in Fountains Hall, we headed over for canapés, champagne (a choice of 2 kinds!) and cake. The looming weather held off long enough for us to take a relaxing stroll down to the Abbey (including 91year old Gran giving people a saddle on a borrowed mobility scooter!). Then as the heavens opened, they jumped in a taxi and headed to a nearby gastropub (The Boar’s Head in Ripley) for their wedding meal!
I must say, it was such a sweet, relaxed and personal wedding, and such a spot-on way to do it!
[Plus, I now realise, every wedding needs a mobility scooter, because they are hilarious!]
I hope you enjoy their wedding story!
So here’s wishing Emma + Stuart every happiness, a fab minimoon week away, and good luck with the house move and new puppy!
