Yesterday, I met Amy & Keir in Roundhay Park in Leeds, ahead of their wedding at The Mansion on Friday.
I know Roundhay Park well from a mis-spent youth drinking cider here!
😉
The mansion is a grand venue for a wedding, beautifully refurbished and run by Dine catering.
I didn’t realise that a wealthy banker bought half of the medieval hunting park ‘The Round Hay’, and landscaped it for his fancy Mansion. Hence the name of the area.
So, after a quick catch up in The Roundhay Fox, we ventured into Roundhay Park for a few practice pics, starting at The Specialist Gardens.
I do like the little water fountains they’ve got down the middle of the gardens
These shoots are a great opportunity for us all to get to know each other and to show my upcoming couples how it feels to be papped!
These guys have actually emigrated to Australia, and live in Melbourne, which is why we’re only catching up the week before their wedding this Friday.
What a fine looking pair!
It’s usually about half way through the shoot that couples start to relax into it a bit and realise it’s not as squirmy and weird as it initially feels!
So bring on Friday at The Mansion! And fingers crossed hurricane Big Bertha isn’t attending…
😉
