Yesterday I joined Amy + Keir to photograph their wedding at The Mansion in Roundhay Park, in Yorkshire
I joined the girls for their preparations at the beautiful Roundhay park in North Leeds, bathed in sunshine… at least for now
😉
I love Roundhay Park and The Mansion, not only from shooting a good few weddings here, but because I grew up in Roundhay and know the park well.
Amy & Keir are actually originally Loiners (ie. from Leeds), but now live over in Melbourne, Australia.
So they’ve been organising this wedding from afar with the help of willing mums and dads!
Loving these shoes!
As well as beautiful necklaces, the girls were given a bag of wedding essentials to survive the day!
All made up!
Meanwhile, over in Garforth, Keir and the chaps were stocking up on bacon
Then Dylan the split screen camper arrived. A nice little nod to Aussy surfing culture!
Hamish caught a few shots of the dudes (and their funky socks) once they arrived at The Mansion
The wedding reception room was all set out and ready for action
Amy’s gran sadly passed away a few years back, so her ring came along for the ride
This might be my favourite shot of the day!
The girls may have had a different favourite shot of the day!
Here comes the bride!
Love this shot too!
Then, before the heavens opened, it was time for a shot of everyone…
…and a CONFETTI BOMB!
After bidding Dylan goodbye…
The gang decided to take a ride on the Roundhay Park train!
As you do.
A few official teamshots before a round of relaxed portraits
The beautiful cake, being guarded by an effigy of Radley, their pooch who was holding up the fort for them back in Aus.
He’d even put on a smart bow tie for the occasion.
After the meal we had time for another, less rainy, stroll through the park for a few more pics.
Even had time for a practice run through of the first dance in a bandstand
If you ask me, I don’t see enough life size cutouts of dogs at weddings!
Then it was first dance time!
And as the night got going, we left Amy, Keir and the family band ‘The Soul Fingers’ to get down and party!
Fun times all round.
Here’s wishing Amy & Keir a wonderful life together and a very happy marriage indeed!
All the very best kids,
Barnaby & Hamish
