Check out these crazy base-jumping, wing-suited, skydiving mentiles…

I caught this vid from InfinityList.com via a pal on Facebook and thought it was worth a share.  It’s absolutely insane, and at times a little overwhelming.

It’s a great example of how music and editing work together, and of what’s capable with a lot of bottle and a bunch of tiny HD GoPro cameras.

I’ve played with GoPro camera’s before, and I shared a cool holiday vid shot on one a while ago (in this post), but it was nothing like these nut jobs are doing with ’em!

The GoPro cameras I’ve played with have been older models and were pretty terrible in low light, but the above video champions the latest camera, the ‘GoPro2 HD Hero

The wing suit dude starring in both the above videos (I believe) is called Jeb Corliss, an adrenaline junkie who did this next stunt called ‘Grinding the Crack’…

I’ve heard of skateboarders ‘grinding‘ down a rail, but this is in another dimension.

You may not be surprised to hear that captain Corliss was recently in the news as he not only illegally ‘flew’ off Table Mountain in South Africa, but bounced off the cliff face at 120mph, breaking both his legs on impact.  Check out the multi camera view of it here.  It’s amazing that he even recovered himself to be honest.

I was going to try a spot of wing-suited base-jumping until I saw that last bounce!  Never mind, I hope you enjoyed this madness…
