Last weekend I joined Bex + Andy for their relaxed summer wedding photos at The Chilli Barn in Otley, slap bang in the an intimate wedding venue in Otley, West Yorkshire, just on the edge of the Otley Chevin Forest Park, overlooking the stunning Lower Wharfedale valley.
I shot this one solo, joining Bex and the ladies for their chilled preps at the Rudding Park Holiday Village near Harrogate. Once they were dressed and toasting fizz I shot over to the beautifully dressed Chilli Barn where Andy and their lovely son were excitedly waiting. After an intimate ceremony with just 40 guests, we headed out into the sun and a hail of confetti for a glorious afternoon of drinks on the lawn, around a giant teepee.
A stunning veggie dinner was served on the upstairs Mezzanine, before evening guests joined the shenanigans and the music started pumping! Bex + Andy are keen muso’s, as are many of their pals, so the happy couple donned disco adornments and tag teamed with DJ buddies and laid out a brilliant disco set as the sun went down.
I’ve known Bex for over 20 years – since days as a waiter at Oracle Bar in Leeds – so it was such a pleasure to be able to witness and document their very special day and their fun pals.
