On Sunday I met Angie & Peter at the excellent Kirkstall Abbey for their pre-wedding photoshoot.
Kirkstall Abbey is a cool place, though I still get a bit mad with Henry VIII for messing these amazing buildings up, just cos he wanted a new wife.
Here are the lovely couple in action!
At first they found it a bit weird, and the background was doing the talking…
But they’d brought Angie’s daughter Louise, and she soon got the party started…
I love her expression in this casual family portrait:
Working her spidey skills
Check the jaunty, jazzy angle! I rarely do this, but kinda like the vibe.
Naturals!
Just round the back of the Abbey is an old train track, which I thought no longer ran…
Until it steamed round the corner. Game off.
It was one of those dingy wet Autumn days, that had thrown all seasons in until photography was scheduled, and stuck with drizzle. Joy. We took refuge from heavy rain in the cafe while we did the pre-wed admin and before I’d arrived they ordered me a coffee & the biggest breezeblock of squidgy brownie. It’s as if they knew me already!
Angie loved the autumn leaves and asked if we could get a shot with some orangey leaves behind.
This one was by the carpark, but I love how relaxed they look at the end of the shoot.
I can’t wait to shoot Angie & Peter’s wedding at Woodlands in November. They’ve got an ace sense of humour & I think the day’s going to be loads of fun!
