One of my very favourite weddings this year was the wedding of Alice & Andrew, up in Ingmanthorpe & Kirk Deighton, round North Yorkshire.
No matter the size & scale of a wedding, it’s great to see a couple, relaxed and in love, in the middle of their big day, enjoying every moment.
I caught up with Alice in the morning, minding her bouquet & sporting a most excellent pair of Zebra slippers.
This cheeky little number was hung by a delectably 90’s photo of the kids.
How much does this sister have 60s chic!? Twiggy, much?
Meanwhile, Andy got ready over at the beautiful family Manor House in Ingmanthorpe.
You may remember my jaw hitting the floor when I visited there for their pre-wed earlier this summer (post here). They’d decided to host the reception in the back garden, and have afternoon canapes around the pool. It is such a lovely place, perfect for a wedding.
Clare caught this one as Andy & his best man Ben got ready.
(Or watched the rugby)
I like this relaxed portrait of Clare’s.
We always like to snap the gents threads.
They’d suggested the gents wear morning suits, and there were some seriously cool waistcoats out on display
Back with Alice, I spotted this little chap outside. He’s not got a great deal to do with the wedding, but isn’t he the best gnome you ever saw?!
Alice, having her bum fondled by mum.
I always watch out for these little moments, where a proud mum (or dad) takes a moment to see her little girl, all grown up.
The flora!
A little arrival story sequence at the church
Andy’s father is a vicar, and took the marriage ceremony. It must be a real pleasure marrying your kids.
That sounds so wrong.
Mr & Mrs!
I love this one of the two of them leaving the church.
While guests enjoyed the champagne reception round the pool…
We squeezed off a few quick snaps.
After a few group shots we made our way over the bridge to their reception marquee, which looked ace inside.
(I particularly like the hat washing line touch!)
Speeches (including the obligatory shaming of the groom!)
A nice touch was that childcare was supplied in the converted stables during the wedding breakfast & speeches.
So the grown ups had some peace & chance to get a glass of wine in.
In the evening Alice & Andy used my photobooth to get some fun studio-lit portraits of their guests in front of my red curtain background.
It’s an optional extra in my packages & an ace way to get loads of fun pics of the day & night guests.
Pulling a cheeky move in the first dance!
They drafted in a fantastic function band called VIP to play the night out.
And this was the view of the Marquee & path just before we left! Ace eh?
It was a total pleasure to join Alice and Andy for their wonderful wedding day & I hope they had an ace honeymoon!
